CL: Enjoy listening to longer stories and can remember much of what happens and use longer sentences of four to six words.
PSED: Show more confidence in new social situations and play with one or more other children, extending and elaborating play ideas.
PD: Use a comfortable grip with good control when holding pens and pencils and continue to develop their movement, balancing, riding (scooters, trikes and bikes) and ball skills.
Literacy: Develop their phonological awareness, so they can spot and suggest rhymes, count or clap syllables in a word and recognise words with the same initial sound.
Maths: Begin to sort objects according to colour, size and shape and link numerals and amounts: for example, showing the right number of objects to match the numeral, up to 5.
Understanding the World: Show interest in different occupations and explore how things work.
Expressive Arts and Design: Take part in simple pretend play and explore colour and colour mixing.
