All children from Reception to Year 2 are entitled to Universal Free School Meals. Once children reach Year 3, school meals are charged at £2.00 per day. Families can apply for Free School Meals for children of any age, even if your child is entitled to Universal Free School meals, you can still apply for Free School Meals as this will provide extra funding for the school to buy resources and equipment. Application forms are available from the school office, by phoning Manchester City Council on 0161 234 5005, or by clicking here. We can provide help with completing Free School Meals applications, just ask for Mrs Irshad.
If you would prefer to provide your child's lunch, you may do so. As we are a healthy school, we do have guidelines on what your child can bring to school for their lunch. The School Food Standards as set by the Government recommend providing meat, fish, poultry, vegetables, salad, fruit and water in packed lunches. Items such as fizzy, sugary drinks, crisps, sweets, chocolates are not recommended as part of a healthy diet.
At Cravenwood, we provide healthy, balanced school meals and our menu changes each term. You can find the menu for this term by clicking here
